📚 Duration of the Course

The BVSc & AH course duration is 5.5 years, which includes:

  • 4.5 years of academic learning

  • 1 year of compulsory rotating internship in veterinary hospitals, clinics, or animal husbandry centers


📌 Eligibility Criteria for BVSc & AH

To pursue a BVSc & AH degree, candidates must:

  • Have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English

  • Secure at least 50% aggregate marks in PCB subjects (for General category)

  • Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) students may qualify with 40% marks

  • Be at least 17 years old at the time of admission


📝 Entrance Exam – NEET (UG)

As per the latest guidelines, admission to BVSc & AH courses in most states and central institutions is based on the NEET (UG) score.

🎯 NEET Eligibility for BVSc Admission:

  • General/GEN-EWS: Must score 50th percentile

  • SC/ST/OBC: Minimum 40th percentile

  • PwD (UR category): 45th percentile

  • PwD (SC/ST/OBC): 40th percentile

The percentile is based on the highest marks scored in NEET (UG) in a given year.

Additionally, some universities may have separate counseling or merit lists for veterinary admissions based on NEET scores.
