This comprehensive guide details the procedures and requirements for admission to MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, courses in Tripura for the 2026-27 academic session.
Candidates must meet one of the following clauses:
Clause 1: Must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent Resident of Tripura. The candidate or their parents must have resided in Tripura continuously for at least 10 years immediately before the NEET-UG application.
Clause 2: Children of All India Services Officers of the Tripura Cadre or children of Tripura State Government Employees posted outside the state.
Clause 3: Children of Central Government employees or officers on deputation to the Tripura Government who have served in the state continuously for 3 years or more and the candidate passed their qualifying exam from a school in Tripura.
Clause 4: Wards of Ex-servicemen where the candidate or parents have stayed in Tripura for at least 5 years continuously and the candidate passed H.S. (+2) in the year of NEET from any recognized school in India.
Clause 5: Children of serving Defense Personnel hailing from Tripura who have stayed in the state for at least 5 years and passed H.S. (+2) from an institution in Tripura.

The following logic governs the rounds of counselling:
Round 1: Offers "Free Exit". If you are allotted a seat but do not join, you can still participate in Round 2 without forfeiting your security deposit.
Round 2: If you join and want to upgrade to Round 3, you can. However, if you are allotted a seat in Round 2 and do not join, your security deposit will be forfeited.
Round 3: If you are allotted a seat and join, you cannot upgrade or resign. If you are allotted and do not join, you are eliminated from further rounds.
Stray Vacancy Round: Candidates who joined any seat in previous rounds are not eligible. If allotted a seat here and you do not join, you are debarred from NEET for one year.
