The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations notified the Provisional Selection List for candidates of the UT of J&K and Ladakh for MBBS/BDS Courses 2026. This list was issued following the conclusion of the 3rd round of online counselling.

Purpose: The counselling process is designed to fill MBBS/BDS seats in Government and Private Colleges/Institutions across the UT of J&K and Ladakh

Eligibility Criteria

Residency: Candidates must belong to the UT of J&K or the UT of Ladakh.

Merit: Seats are allotted based on merit-cum-preferences.

Medical Fitness (Disability): Candidates selected under the "Person with Disability" (PWD) category (either in open merit or reserved) must be assessed by a Special Medical Board to confirm they meet the required disability benchmarks before admission is finalized.

Document Required

Provisionally selected candidates must present the following original documents to their allotted colleges for verification:

Date of Birth Certificate: Matriculation certificate.

Academic Records: Marks card of 10+2.

Domicile Certificate.

NEET Score Card 2026.

Category Certificate: If applicable, a valid certificate issued by a competent authority.

P&B Category Certificate: Valid "Poor & Backward" category certificate on the prescribed performa (specifically required for ASCOMS).

Compulsory Service Bond: Mandatory for candidates belonging to the UT of Ladakh.

Other Documents: Any additional documentation requested by the specific college authorities.

Online Application and Registration

Method of Submission: Candidates must submit their preferences and choices through the official BOPEE website: www.jkbopee.gov.i

Phase 2: Submission of Preferences (Counselling)

Online Choices: Candidates are required to fill in their preferences for institutions and disciplines (MBBS or BDS) during the notified counselling window.

Merit-Cum-Preference: Seat allotment is finalized based on the candidate's NEET 2026 merit and the preferences they submitted online.

Phase 3: Provisional Selection and Reporting

Provisional Selection List (PSL): The Board notifies the list of provisionally allotted candidates via Annexure-A on their official website.

Representations: If a candidate has a grievance regarding their position in the selection list, they must email their representation with documentary evidence to jkbopeeresultquerry@gmail.com

Phase 4: Admission Completion

Document Verification: Heads of Institutions and Nodal Officers are mandated to verify all original documents (e.g., Domicile, Category Certificates, NEET Score Card) before granting admission.

Fee Payment: Candidates must contact their specific allotted college to resolve fee-related queries and pay the required amounts 

Finality of Admission: The admission remains purely provisional; it will be cancelled if any information or document is found to be false or fabricated.

Phase 5: Future Rounds (Upgradation)

Participation in Next Rounds: If a candidate is interested in a better seat, they may participate in the next round of counselling (if conducted) for upgradation.

Requirement for Upgradation: To be eligible for upgradation, candidates must fill out fresh preferences during the next round's window.
