The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) is the state authority responsible for the allotment of candidates to M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.A.M.S., and B.V.Sc.&A.H. (National Self-Supporting and NRI) courses for the academic year 2026-27
Basis of Merit: Determination of merit for all counseling purposes is based strictly on the NEET (UG) - 2026 All India Rank.
Scope of Counselling: Includes Government Quota seats in both Government and Private institutions, Self-supporting seats in Government institutions, Management Quota (including Christian and Telugu Minority) in Private colleges, and NRI Quota seats.
Mode: The entire process, from application submission to admission, is conducted Online Only
Candidates must be Indian Nationals.
French Nationals residing in the U.T. of Puducherry under the "Treaty of Cession" are treated on par with Indian Nationals.
NRIs and OCIs (granted before 04.03.2021) are eligible for certain categories; those granted OCI after this date are eligible for NRI seats only.
An applicant is considered a resident if they satisfy at least one of these criteria:
Continuous Residence: The candidate, parent, or guardian has resided in the U.T. for at least five years preceding the application date.
Education and Residence: The candidate studied continuously for five successive classes in recognized institutions in the U.T. and resided there for five years during that period.
Native Children: Children of natives of U.T. of Puducherry whose parents have declared a place in the U.T. as their hometown.
Government Employees: Children of Central/State Government servants or PSU employees serving in the U.T. for a minimum continuous period of three years, provided the child passed the HSC (12th) from a school in the U.T..
Dual Nativity Restriction: Candidates can only claim residence benefit in one state. Claiming benefits in another state/UT while applying for Government Quota in Puducherry will lead to disqualification and legal action.
Refers to Indian Nationals who are not residents of the Union Territory of Puducherry.

Passport-size photograph: Recent colored photo (20 KB to 50 KB).
Scanned signature: Applicant's signature (20 KB to 50 KB).
Proof of Birth: Birth Certificate, 10th Standard Marksheet, or Higher Secondary Marksheet (100 KB to 500 KB).
Academic Records: 10th and 12th Standard Marksheets and Passing Certificates (100 KB to 500 KB).
NEET UG-2025 details: Admit Card and Scorecard (100 KB to 500 KB).
Transfer Certificate (TC): From the school last studied (100 KB to 500 KB).
Residence Certificate: Issued by the Revenue Department (100 KB to 500 KB).
Residency Affidavit: Typed on Rs. 20 e-stamp paper, duly attested by a Notary (Annexure 2).
Community Certificate: For SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EBC, BCM, or BT categories (100 KB to 500 KB).
EWS Certificate: For candidates claiming Economically Weaker Section reservation (dated on or after 01.04.2026).
Special Category Certificates: If applicable, for Freedom Fighter (FF), Ex-Servicemen (ESM), or Persons with Disabilities (PwD).
Regional Claim Certificate: For residents of Karaikal, Mahe, or Yanam (Annexure 6).
Passport and Visa: Valid Indian Passport of the candidate/parent (for NRI) or OCI card and Passport (for OCI).
Embassy Certificate: Issued by the Indian Embassy in the country of residence (Annexure 12).
Sponsorship Documents: Relationship Certificate and Relationship Tree Certificate from the parent, attested by the Tahsildar (Annexures 13 & 14).
Original certificates must be produced at the time of physical reporting to the allotted college for final admission confirmation.
Candidates must apply online via www.centacpuducherry.in. Only one application per candidate is permitted.

Create a password; an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile for every login.
Personal Information: Enter details such as name, contact, and category.
Academic Details: Enter HSC marks and NEET UG-2026 details.
General: Passport photo, signature, Birth Certificate (or 10th marksheet), 12th marksheet, NEET UG-2026 Score Card, and HSC Transfer Certificate .
Residence Specific: Residence/Community certificates, and a residency affidavit in Rs. 20 e-stamp paper .
EWS: Certificate
Payment is Online Only (Net Banking, Cards, UPI, BQR).
Govt. Quota Only: Rs. 500 (SC/ST/PwD) or Rs. 1000 (Others).
Management/Self-Supporting: Rs. 1000 (SC/ST/PwD) or Rs. 2000 (Others/Other States).
NRI/OCI/Foreign National: Rs. 5000.
The process involves Four Rounds of online counselling: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and a Stray Round .
Draft Merit List: Published after verification of academic and category claims.
Course Preferences: Candidates must enter their priority of course and college; failing to enter at least one preference results in no allotment.
Final Merit List: Published after addressing objections from the Draft and Revised Draft lists.
Allotment: Seats are allotted based on merit, reservation, and candidate preferences.
Provisional Allotment Order: Allotted candidates must download this and report to the college.
Physical Reporting: Mandatory reporting with original documents and fee payment to confirm admission.
Sliding: Allowed in Rounds 2 and 3. If a new seat is allotted, the previous seat is automatically cancelled .
New Preferences: Candidates must enter new course preferences for each round; previous preferences become null and void.
Forfeiture of Fees:
Round 1: Free exit (no forfeiture) if the candidate does not join.
Round 2/3: Registration fees are forfeited if a candidate is allotted a seat and fails to join or resigns after a specified deadline.
Stray Round: Failure to join results in forfeiture of the Full Tuition Fee and debarment from the NEET exam for the following year
