Telangana NEET UG Counselling 2026: Dates, Registration, Choice Filling, &More!

The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana, has released the prospectus for admission into MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2026-27 under the Competent Authority Quota. This quota includes all seats in Government Medical and Dental colleges (excluding the 15% All India Quota) and Category 'A' seats in Private Un-aided Non-Minority/Minority colleges.

 

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission, candidates must meet specific educational, age, and domicile requirements.

A. General Requirements

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) cardholders 

Age: Must have completed 17 years of age by December 31, 2026. Candidates who do not meet this age limit by the cutoff date are ineligible.

Educational Qualifications: Must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany/Zoology)/Biotechnology, and English.

OC/EWS Candidates: Minimum 50% marks in science subjects.

BC/SC/ST Candidates: Minimum 40% marks in science subjects.

OC PWD Candidates: Minimum 45% marks in science subjects.

B. NEET UG-2026 Cut-off Scores

Candidates must secure the following minimum percentile in NEET UG-2026

C. Domicile (Local) Status

Admission under the Competent Authority Quota is restricted to candidates who are domiciles of Telangana. A candidate is considered local if:

They studied in an educational institution in Telangana for at least 4 consecutive academic years ending with the qualifying exam year.

OR, if they did not study in an institution, they must have resided in Telangana for at least 4 years immediately preceding the qualifying examination.

Important: Candidates who are domiciles of other states are not eligible for these seats

Document Required

All documents must be scanned and ready for upload in PDF format (unless specified otherwise) and should be under 500 KB (unless specified):

NEET UG-2026 Rank Card (Mandatory).

Birth Certificate (SSC Marks Memo) (Mandatory).

Qualifying Exam Certificate (Intermediate Marks Memo/Equivalent) (Mandatory).

Study Certificates: From 9th to 10th grade and Intermediate (1st and 2nd year).

Transfer Certificate (TC).

Caste Certificate: Latest certificate with father's name (If applicable)

Minority Certificate: For Muslim Minority candidates only (If applicable).

EWS Certificate: Valid for 2026-27, issued by Tahsildar of Telangana (If applicable).

Parental Income Certificate: Latest (If claiming fee exemption).

Special Category Certificates: NCC, CAP, PMC, or Anglo-Indian (If applicable).

Residence Certificate: For 4 years (Mandatory for those who did not study in an institution in Telangana).

Aadhar Card.

Candidate’s Photograph and Signature: In JPG/JPEG format, size under 100 K

How to apply

Applications are accepted online only at tsmedadm.tsche.in 

Step 1: Mobile and Email Registration

Enter NEET Roll No, Rank, DOB, Mobile Number, and Email ID.

Generate and validate OTPs sent to both mobile and email.

Step 2: Candidate Registration & Fee Payment

Login using the validated details.

Pay the non-refundable registration fee:

OC & BC: β‚Ή4,000.

SC / ST: β‚Ή3,200.

Upon successful payment, you will receive a Registration Number.

Step 3: Data Updation (Application Form)

Enter your NEET Roll No and Registration Number to access the full application.

Fill in personal details, academic history, and reservation categories.

Upload your passport-size photo and signature.

Click "Save and Exit". You can edit this data until the certificate verification process begins.

Step 4: Certificate Uploading

Upload all mandatory and relevant original certificates as scanned PDFs.

Double-check all uploads and click "Save and Print" to get a copy of your submitted application.

Step 5: Provisional Merit List & Web Options

The University will verify the uploaded certificates.

A provisional final merit list will be released on the KNRUHS website.

Eligible candidates must then exercise web options (college preferences) during the notified schedule.

Important Notes

University Fee: Once a seat is allotted via web counselling, candidates must pay a University fee of β‚Ή12,000 to download the allotment letter.

Discontinuation Penalty: If a student discontinues the course after the last date of free exit, they must pay a bond amount of β‚Ή20,00,000 (Twenty Lakhs).
