The Chhattisgarh NEET UG 2026 counselling for the academic session 2026-27 will be overseen by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Raipur. The counselling schedule will be available on the official website, cgdme.admissions.nic.in, which is the sole authority for releasing the Chhattisgarh state merit list for MBBS and BDS admissions.

To participate in the Chhattisgarh NEET 2026 counselling, candidates must register on the DME Raipur website and qualify for NEET 2026. The counseling process will be conducted online in two rounds. If necessary, additional rounds will be held to ensure all seats are filled. Candidates who meet the Chhattisgarh NEET cutoff marks will be eligible for further counselling steps.

 

Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the Chhattisgarh NEET UG 2026 counseling, candidates must meet the following requirements:

General Eligibility

NEET UG Qualification: Candidates must have qualified for NEET UG 2026 with the minimum required percentile.

Age: Minimum age of 17 years as of December 31, 2026.

Academic: Must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.

Minimum Marks: 50% aggregate in PCB for General, and 40% for SC/ST/OBC.

Domicile Rules

85% State Quota (Government Colleges): Strictly reserved for domiciles of Chhattisgarh.

Domicile Requirements: Candidates must be born in the state, hold a valid domicile certificate, and typically have completed Class 10 and 12 from schools within Chhattisgarh.

Management Quota (Private Colleges): Open to candidates from all states (non-domiciles) who have qualified for NEET UG.

2. Reservations & Seats

The reservation policy for government medical and dental colleges is as follows:

Scheduled Tribe (ST): 32%

Scheduled Caste (SC): 12%

Other Backward Classes (OBC - NCL): 14% to 27% (subject to the latest state rules)

Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10%

Horizontal Reservations: 30% for female candidates and 5% for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) across categories.

Document Required

Candidates must provide original documents and photocopies during the verification process:

NEET UG 2026 Admit Card and Scorecard.

Class 10 and 12 Marksheets and Passing Certificates.

Chhattisgarh Domicile Certificate (if applying for state quota).

Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC) and Income Certificate for OBC-NCL, if applicable.

Identity Proof (Aadhar Card, PAN, or Passport).

Passport-size Photographs (multiple copies matching the NEET application).

Medical Fitness Certificate and Character Certificate.

How to apply

The application process is entirely online through the official portal.

Step 1: Online Registration: Visit cgdme.in and register using your NEET UG Roll Number and personal details.

Step 2: Upload Documents: Scan and upload the required certificates (usually as a single PDF under 500 KB) and your photograph and signature.

Step 3: Fee Payment: Pay the non-refundable registration fee online:

UR / OBC: β‚Ή1,000.

SC / ST: β‚Ή500.

NRI: β‚Ή10,000.

Step 4: Choice Filling: Log in to select and prioritize your preferred colleges and courses. Lock your choices before the deadline, as they cannot be edited afterward.

Step 5: Seat Allotment: Based on NEET rank and preferences, an allotment list is published. Download your allotment letter.

Step 6: Reporting & Admission: Report to the allotted college for physical document verification and pay the tuition fees to confirm admission.
