The JCECEB invites online applications to prepare the State Merit List for admission into State Quota seats. This process covers both Government and Private medical, dental, and homeopathic colleges within Jharkhand. The counseling is conducted in four phases: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and a Stray Vacancy round.
Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
Residency: Only Local or Permanent residents of Jharkhand are eligible for state quota seats.
Certification: A Local Resident Certificate issued by a Circle Officer, Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), or Deputy Commissioner of Jharkhand is mandatory.
Age: Must be at least 17 years old by December 31, 2026. There is no upper age limit.
NEET Status: Must have qualified NEET (UG)-2026 and possess a rank in the merit list.
Educational Qualifications: Passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English individually.
Minimum Marks in PCB (Aggregate):
General/EWS: 50%.
SC/ST/OBC (NCL): 40%.
PwBD/PwD: 40%.
Jharkhand follows current state reservation policies for:
Caste-based: SC, ST, BC-I, and BC-II.
EWS: Economically Weaker Sections.
Primitive Tribal Groups: Specific reservation for these groups.
PwD: Persons with Disabilities (Certificate must be issued by RIMS, Ranchi only; Civil Surgeon certificates are no longer valid).
Candidates must present original certificates at the time of admission:
NEET (UG)-2026 Score Card (Mandatory to upload during application).
Provisional Seat Allotment Letter.
Local Resident Certificate from a competent Jharkhand authority.
Caste Certificate (if applicable). For BC-I/BC-II, it must specify the non-creamy layer status.
EWS Income & Assets Certificate (if applicable).
Disability Certificate from RIMS, Ranchi (for PwD candidates)

Fill in personal and academic details as per the NEET result.
Upload NEET (UG)-2026 Score Card.
Pay Application Fee via Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI:
General/EWS/BC-I/BC-II: Rs. 500.
SC/ST/Female (all categories): Rs. 250.
Divyang (PwD): Exempt.
The Board will publish a State Merit List based on the data provided in your application. Once your name is on this list, you do not need to re-apply for subsequent rounds.

Pay Counseling Fee (Non-refundable):
General/EWS/BC-I/BC-II: Rs. 1,000.
SC/ST/Female/PwD: Rs. 500.
Submit Institute Preferences: Enter as many choices of colleges and courses as you wish.
A refundable security deposit is required for seat allotment:
Government Colleges: Rs. 20,000 (General/EWS) or Rs. 10,000 (Reserved).
Private Medical Colleges: Rs. 2 Lakh.
Private Dental Colleges: Rs. 1 Lakh.
Note: Security money is forfeited if you fail to join an allotted seat from the 2nd round onwards.
Download the Provisional Seat Allotment Letter during the specified dates.
Report to the allotted institute for Document Verification and final admission with all original certificates.
