Uttar Pradesh NEET UG Counselling 2026: Dates, Registration, Choice Filling, &More!

The Directorate of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, conducts the NEET UG-2026 Counseling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. This process covers seats in Government and Private Medical/Dental Colleges, Institutions, and Universities across Uttar Pradesh. The counseling is conducted online in four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and a Stray Vacancy Round.

 

Eligibility Criteria

General Eligibility

Candidates must be declared qualified in the NEET UG-2026 examination

The lower age limit is 17 years completed on or before December 31, 2026.

There is no upper age limit for appearing in NEET UG-2026.

2. Domicile Requirements (Government Colleges)

To be eligible for State Quota seats in Government Medical/Dental colleges, the candidate must be a native of Uttar Pradesh.

No Domicile Certificate Required: If the candidate has passed both High School (10th) and Intermediate (12th) from Uttar Pradesh.

Domicile Certificate Required: If the candidate passed either High School or Intermediate (or both) from outside Uttar Pradesh but is a native of the state.

3. Other State Candidates (Private Colleges)

Candidates from other states in India are eligible to participate in the counseling for Private sector Medical and Dental colleges and Minority institutions.

Being a native of Uttar Pradesh is not required for admission to private sector seats.

Reservations

Vertical and horizontal reservations apply to State Quota seats in Government institutions.

Vertical Reservation: SC (21%), ST (02%), OBC (27%), and EWS (10%).

Horizontal Reservation: Dependents of Freedom Fighters (02%), Ex-Servicemen (02%), Divyang/PwD (05%), NCC Cadets (01%), and Women candidates (20%).

Note: OBC and EWS certificates must be issued on or after April 1, 2026.

Documents Required for Counseling

Candidates must upload scanned copies for online verification and present original documents at the time of admission:

NEET UG-2026 Admit Card and Score Card.

High School (10th) Marksheet and Certificate.

Intermediate (12th) Marksheet and Certificate.

Domicile Certificate (if applicable).

Reservation/Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/FF/Ex-Army/NCC/PwD) issued by competent UP authorities (if applicable).

Identity Proof (Aadhar Card, Driving License, PAN Card, or Passport).

Online Registration Receipt and Security Money Deposit Receipt.

Allotment Letter (for the admission stage).

How to apply

Online Registration: Login to https://upneet.gov.in using your NEET UG Roll Number and Application Number.

Registration Fee Payment: Pay a non-refundable fee of β‚Ή2,000 online.

Security Money Deposit:

Government Seats: β‚Ή30,000.

Private Medical Seats: β‚Ή2,00,000.

Private Dental Seats: β‚Ή1,00,000.

Online Document Verification: Select a Nodal Center and upload the required documents for online verification.

Merit List Declaration: A state merit list will be published based on NEET scores of registered candidates.

Choice Filling & Locking: Candidates must fill their college preferences and lock them. Allotment will not occur if choices are not locked.

Result Declaration: Seat allotment results will be published online.

Download Allotment Letter: Allotted candidates must download their allotment letter.

Admission: Report to the allotted Government college or designated Nodal Center (for private colleges) with original documents and tuition fees to complete the admission process.
