Government Medical college, Haridwar

Government Medical college, Haridwar is one of the four new medical colleges established in the state of Uttarakhand under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, with the aim to improve quality tertiary level healthcare in the Haridwar region of the state.

This medical college is established in pious city of Uttarakhand state, ‘Haridwar’ also termed as ‘Gateway of God. Haridwar is one of the first towns where Ganga emerges from the mountains to touch the plane areas. Holy river “Ganga” has been alleviating suffering of human beings since time immemorable. People come to holy city of Haridwar for relief of pain, agony and suffering at higher level. Establishment of a new Government Medical college and associated hospital on the bank of river Ganga, in an area of 75 acres, will further provide divine serenity of healing apart from the physical healing.
