Registration on the MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) portal is the very first — and most crucial — step for every NEET UG 2026 aspirant applying for All India Quota, Deemed Universities, AFMC, or BSc Nursing seats. A small error at this stage can delay or even disqualify your counselling participation. Here is a complete, step-by-step breakdown of the MCC registration process for NEET UG 2026.

Step 1: Accessing the Official Website & Initial Registration

  1. Visit the official MCC website: www.mcc.nic.in
  2. Select UG Medical from the counselling options.
  3. Under the Candidate Activity section, click on New Registration.
  4. Carefully read the instructions provided, click I Agree to accept the terms, and proceed to the New Candidate Registration page.

Always ensure you are on the official MCC domain before entering any personal details.

Step 2: Basic Credentials & Verification

Using your NEET UG Scorecard, enter the following details accurately:

  • NEET UG Roll Number & Application Number
  • Candidate Name & Mother's Name
  • Date of Birth (DOB)

Once submitted, the system automatically fetches your Mobile Number and Email Address as registered with NTA/NEET — so make sure these are active and accessible.

Next steps:

  • Choose a password following the platform's security guidelines.
  • Enter the Security Pin (Captcha) and click Submit.
  • Complete OTP Verification sent to your registered mobile number and email, then click Final Submit.

Step 3: Filling Out the Application Form

Personal Details

Fill in your Gender, Nationality, Religion, Category, and Sub-category exactly as per your official documents.

AFMC Option

Indicate whether you wish to apply for Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) — this is a separate consent step within the form.

12th Qualification Details

  • School Name, State, Passing Status, Passing Year, and Roll Number
  • School category/type (Delhi NCT, Jamia, AMU, or Other)
  • Subject-wise marks (Obtained vs. Maximum Marks) for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology

Double-check these entries against your original 12th marksheet to avoid mismatches during document verification.

Step 4: Selecting Counselling Options ("Apply For")

Candidates must select the specific quota types they wish to participate in:

Option Applicable For
15% All India Quota (AIQ) / Open Seats AIIMS, BHU, AMU, JIPMER, and other central institutes
BSc Nursing Candidates applying for nursing seats
Deemed Universities Private/deemed institutes like KMC Manipal, Symbiosis, etc.
AFMC Candidates opting for Armed Forces Medical College

You can select multiple options depending on your eligibility and preference — but each comes with its own fee structure (see Step 6).

Step 5: Address Details & Form Preview

  • Fill in your Correspondence Address and Permanent Address, ensuring they match your ID proofs (such as Aadhaar).
  • Click Preview & Submit to thoroughly review all entered information before final submission.

This is your last chance to catch typos or incorrect entries before the form is locked in — review every field carefully.

Step 6: Payment of Registration Fee & Security Deposit

After final submission, log into your dashboard to complete the fee payment:

Quota / Category Registration Fee (Non-Refundable) Security Deposit (Refundable) Total Payment
AIQ (General / EWS) β‚Ή1,000 β‚Ή10,000 β‚Ή11,000
AIQ (OBC / SC / ST / PwD) β‚Ή500 β‚Ή5,000 β‚Ή5,500
Deemed Universities β‚Ή5,000 β‚Ή2,00,000 β‚Ή2,05,000

Important: Payment must be completed online, and choice filling will not be unlocked until this step is finished. Keep your payment receipt safe for future reference.

Fraud Alert: Register Only Through Official Channels

Every counselling season, fake websites and agents try to exploit aspirants during the registration and payment stage. Om Educare urges all candidates and parents to stay cautious:

  • Register only through www.mcc.nic.in — never through third-party links or apps claiming to offer "faster registration."
  • Never share your MCC login password or OTP with anyone, including agents or so-called "counsellors."
  • Make all fee payments directly through the official MCC payment gateway — avoid any request for payment via personal UPI IDs or bank transfers.
  • If in doubt about any step, verify directly with official MCC helpdesk channels before proceeding.
