Introduction
Tripura Postgraduate Medical Counselling 2026 is conducted for admission to State Quota/Domicile Seats and seats in the Private Medical College in various Postgraduate Medical Courses, including MD/MS and Post MBBS Diploma courses.
Admission is based on the inter-se merit of NEET PG 2026 qualified candidates, with applicable reservations and incentives for eligible in-service candidates as per the rules and guidelines of the Government of Tripura and competent authorities.
The counselling is conducted by the Tripura Medical Counselling Committee (TRMCC) through an online counselling process. There are four rounds of counselling: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and Stray Vacancy Round.
Candidates participating in the counselling must fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria, including possessing an MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), qualifying NEET PG 2026, completing the required one-year compulsory rotatory internship by 31 July 2026, and possessing valid medical registration.

- All India Quota (AIQ): It may be included if applicable, offering seats to NEET PG 2026 qualified candidates from across India.
Eligibility Criteria
1. State Quota / Government Seats – Open Candidates
* The candidate must be a **Citizen of India**.
* The candidate must be a **domicile of the State of Tripura
The candidate must have obtained an **MBBS Degree from a Medical College recognized by MCI/NMC
The candidate must possess an **MBBS Registration Certificate** from the Tripura State Medical Council or any other State/Central Medical Council
2. State Quota / Government Seats – In-Service Candidates

The candidate must be a **domicile of Tripura
* The candidate must have passed MBBS from a Medical College **within or outside Tripura.
* The candidate must possess a **No Objection Certificate (NOC)** from the appointing authority.
* The candidate must possess a **Service Certificate** from the appointing authority. Applicable incentives and eligibility conditions shall be as per the prescribed rules.
* Study leave, service bond, discontinuation bond and other applicable conditions shall be as per the **State Government rules/guidelines**.
* **Post MBBS Diploma seats at IGM Hospital** are available for In-Service Medical Officers only, as per the applicable guidelines.
3. Non-Government (Tripura Medical College) Seats
* The candidate must have **qualified NEET PG 2025**.
* The candidate must fulfil the eligibility conditions prescribed for admission to the Non-Government seats, including the applicable Tripura residency/eligibility requirements.
4. General Eligibility Requirements
* The candidate must possess an **MBBS qualification from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC)** or fulfil the eligibility prescribed by NMC.
* The candidate must have completed the **one-year compulsory rotatory internship on or before 31 July 2025**.
* The candidate must possess valid **registration with a State Medical Council or NMC**.
* Candidates already pursuing a course or internship in another institution/university are **not eligible** as per the bulletin.
