About Himachal Pradesh NEET PG Counselling:
1. The Department of Medical Education and Research, Himachal Pradesh shall conduct the online Common / Centralized Counselling for admission to PG (MD/MS/DNB) degree courses for the academic session 2026–27. 2. Counselling covers 50% State Quota PG seats in Government Medical Colleges and all seats in Private Medical Colleges of the State. 3. The Controller of Examinations, Atal Medical & Research University (AMRU), Mandi at Ner Chowk, acting as Member Secretary, Common/Centralized Counselling Committee, will prepare the State Merit List on the basis of NEET-PG-2026 results and any applicable service incentives supplied by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), H.P. 4. Admissions will be made only to courses recognized/ permitted by the National Medical Commission (NMC), National Board of Examinations (NBE), and AMRU, in accordance with applicable NMC and State Government rules. 2. Affiliated and Included Colleges 1. Government medical colleges affiliated to AMRU (admissions through this counselling): o Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla o Dr. R.P. Govt. Medical College, Kangra at Tanda o Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Govt. Medical College, Mandi at Ner Chowk o Dr. Y.S. Parmar Govt. Medical College, Nahan o Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Govt. Medical College, Chamba o Dr. R.K. Govt. Medical College, Hamirpur 2. Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College (MMMC), Kumarhatti, Solan — affiliated to Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Solan — is included only for seat allotment through this Common/Centralized Counselling, based on AMRU’s NEET-PG-2026 merit list, in compliance with directions from the Hon’ble Supreme Court / MoHFW / NMC.

Candidates seeking admission to
Himachal Pradesh PG Medical (MD/MS/DNB) 2026–27
must fulfill the following eligibility criteria.

Domicile:
Himachal Pradesh (Bonafide Himachali)
for 50% State Quota Direct seats.

Eligible to apply for
Management Quota seats
in Private Medical Colleges.

Academic Qualification:
Must possess an
MBBS Degree or Provisional Pass Certificate
recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Internship:
Must have completed
12 months compulsory rotating internship
on or before
July 31, 2026.

Registration:
Must hold
permanent or provisional registration
with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a State Medical Council (SMC).

Qualifying Entrance Exam:
Must qualify in
NEET-PG 2026
by securing the prescribed minimum qualifying percentile.

General (UR): 50th Percentile
SC / ST / OBC (including PwD): 40th Percentile
UR - PwBD: 45th Percentile

State Quota Seat Distribution:
66.67% — In-Service GDO Candidates
33.33% — Direct Candidates

Important Instructions
Candidates are advised to carefully read and follow all

laptop or desktop computer
with the latest version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox,
or Internet Explorer for a smooth registration and
choice-filling experience.

Use an authenticated mobile number and a
unique e-mail ID not previously registered
in the AMRU system. The credentials generated after
registration must be retained carefully for all future logins.

Candidates must fill details such as
Admission Quota, Category, Candidate’s Name,
Father’s Name, NEET-PG Roll Number, Email ID,
and Mobile Number
exactly as per the NEET-PG 2026 record.

After entering the email ID and mobile number,
candidates must verify both by entering the
OTP received on the registered email and mobile number.

After successful verification, enter the
captcha code
and click “Register” to complete the process.

Payment of the application fee does not constitute
completion of the application.
Candidates must fill and finally submit the online form
after successful payment.

Online application fee is non-refundable
under all circumstances. Candidates must remit the fee cautiously.

If ineligibility of a candidate is detected at any stage,
their candidature/application shall stand cancelled
without notice.

Candidates are themselves responsible for any
error, incorrect entry, or incomplete submission.

Applications found incomplete or unpaid
shall be summarily rejected without prior intimation.
