Puducherry NEET PG Counselling 2026 | Government Medical Colleges Seat Allocation

Introduction

Puducherry NEET PG counselling 2026 is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Puducherry. The counselling process provides merit-based admission to postgraduate medical courses, including MD, MS, and PG Diploma, exclusively in government medical colleges within Puducherry. This is a transparent, single-window process aligned with MCC guidelines, aiming to allocate seats fairly among qualified NEET PG 2026 candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Indian Medical Graduates – MBBS from India

1. MBBS Degree / Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized under NMC Act, 2019 & PG Medical Education Regulations, 2023.
2. Permanent / Provisional MBBS Registration Certificate issued by NMC / erstwhile MCI / State Medical Council.
3. One-year internship must be completed on or before 31 July 2026.
4. Must obtain the minimum required NEET PG 2026 score prescribed by the concerned regulatory authorities.

Foreign Medical Graduates – MBBS outside India

1. Indian Citizens / OCI with primary medical qualification from abroad must qualify the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (Screening Test).
2. Must be registered with NMC / erstwhile MCI / State Medical Council.
3. Internship must be completed on or before 31 July 2026.
4. Must obtain the minimum required NEET PG 2026 score prescribed by the concerned regulatory authorities.

Nationality & Residence Criteria for CENTAC/Puducherry, including Puducherry Resident and Other State candidates.

3. Proof of Birth – Birth Certificate / 10th Std Marksheet / Higher Secondary Marksheet (100 KB–500 KB)
4. UG Degree / Provisional Certificate / Course Completion Certificate (100 KB–500 KB)
5. Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) Certificate (100 KB–500 KB)
6. NEET PG 2026 Score Card (100 KB–500 KB)
7. Transfer Certificate from the institute last studied (100 KB–500 KB)

U.T. of Puducherry Candidates – Government Quota:

8. Residence / Community Certificate (100 KB–500 KB)
9. Dual Nativity Affidavit – Annexure 2 on ₹20 e-Stamp paper, duly attested by the Notary
10. Freedom Fighter Certificate, if applicable
11. Ex-Serviceman Certificate, if applicable
12. Telugu Linguistic Minority Certificate, if applicable
13. Disability Certificate, if applicable
14. Sports Certificates, if applicable – self-attested xerox copies at the designated centre

Management Quota:

15. All India OBC / SC / ST Certificate, if applicable (obtained on or after 1st January 2026)
16. OCI Card – for eligible OCI candidates holding an OCI card granted before 04.03.2021

Step 1: Registration (First-Time Users)

1. Go to the official CENTAC website: www.centacpuducherry.in
2. Click on the link NEET PG - MEDICAL and select New Registration
3. Enter a valid Mobile Number and Email Address (All communication and OTP access will be sent here)
4. Create a password (up to 6 characters)

Step 2: Fill in the Online Application

1. Log in to your dashboard using your registered Email ID and Password
2. Fill in all mandatory details:
   • Personal Information
   • Academic Information (e.g., MBBS marks, NEET PG 2026 details)
   • Reservation / Quota Claims (Government Quota / Management Quota / Minority Quota)
3. Double-check all entries using the Back button before proceeding to payment

Step 3: Upload Mandatory Documents

Upload scanned copies of self-attested documents:

For All Candidates:

1. Passport-size photograph (20 KB - 50 KB)
2. Scanned signature (20 KB - 50 KB)
3. Proof of Birth (10th Marksheet / Birth Certificate / HSC Marksheet) (100 KB - 500 KB)
4. UG Degree / Provisional Certificate / Course Completion Certificate (100 KB - 500 KB)
5. CRRI (Internship Completion) Certificate (completed on or before July 31, 2026) (100 KB - 500 KB)
6. NEET PG-2026 Score Card (100 KB - 500 KB)
7. Transfer Certificate from the institution last studied (100 KB - 500 KB)

For Puducherry UT Residents (Government Quota): (Certificates must be dated on or after January 1, 2026)

1. Residence / Community Certificate
2. Dual Nativity Affidavit: Sworn affidavit as per Annexure 2 typed on a ₹20 e-Stamp paper, duly attested by an Executive Magistrate/Notary
3. Special Category Certificates (Freedom Fighter / Ex-Servicemen / PwD / Telugu Linguistic Minority / Sports, if applicable)

For Management Quota / OCI Candidates:

1. All India OBC/SC/ST Certificate (dated on or after January 1, 2026)
2. OCI Card (if applicable, granted before March 4, 2021)

Step 4: Pay the Application Fee

Pay the prescribed non-refundable application fee online via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, UPI, or BQR:

Step 5: Submit Course & College Preferences

1. Once the application fee is paid, access the Course Preference section
2. Select preferred colleges (IGMCRI, PIMS, SMVMCH, SVMCH&RC)
3. Prioritize courses (M.D./M.S. specialties) in order of preference
4. Submit and freeze your preferences before the stipulated deadline (Without course preferences, no seat will be allotted)

What Happens Next?

1. Verification: CENTAC will verify your documents. Check your dashboard for SUCCESS status or remarks to rectify deficiencies.
2. Merit Lists: CENTAC will publish the Draft Merit List, Revised Draft Merit List, and Final Merit List.
3. Counselling & Registration Fee: To participate in Round 2, Round 3, or Stray Round, candidates will need to pay a Registration/Security Deposit via the dashboard.
4. Allotment & Admission: If allotted a seat, download the Provisional Allotment Order, pay the prescribed tuition fee to CENTAC, and physically report to the allotted college with original certificates.
