Introduction

The Directorate of Medical Education & Training Odisha is the NEET PG conducting authority for Odisha. The Counselling Committee Odisha will begin registration for Round 1 of PG medical admission on the official portal https://dmetodisha.gov.in. The selection of candidates for MD/MS courses is based on NEET PG 2025. Qualifiers of NEET PG 2025 are eligible to participate in the counselling process for postgraduate admissions.

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • MBBS Qualification: Passed MBBS from an MCI recognized institution or equivalent.
  • NEET PG 2025: Qualified NEET PG with marks above the minimum qualifying requirement.
  • Internship: Completed 1 year of Compulsory Rotatory Internship/Houseman Ship.
  • Registration: Registered or eligible to be registered with the State/Central Medical Council of India.
  • Citizenship: The candidate should be an Indian citizen or a foreign candidate (if applicable). For non-citizens, passing MBBS from Odisha Govt Medical College is necessary.

  • MBBS Marksheet and Degree Certificate.
  • MBBS Internship Completion Certificate.
  • Medical Registration Certificate.
  • Birth Certificate (if age proof not in HSC marksheets).
  • NEET PG 2025 Score Card.
  • Online Counselling Registration Certificate.
  • Sponsorship Certificate from State Govt (if applicable).
  • Photographs: 8 passport size.
  • Identity Proof: (Aadhar, Passport, Driving License, etc.) with attested photo from Head of Institution.

How to apply

Step 1: Counselling Registration (Online)

  • Visit the official website https://dmetodisha.gov.in.
  • Register using your NEET PG Roll No. and email ID.
  • Follow the screen instructions; your NEET PG registration details will be displayed.
  • Make an online payment for registration. An SMS will confirm successful registration.
  • Save and note your password for future steps.

Step 2: Security Money Payment

  • Candidates must pay the prescribed security deposit fee as per Odisha DMET norms.
  • After payment, the merit list will be displayed based on NEET PG scores.
  • The candidate can then fill choices for seats as per the declared schedule.
  • Take a printout of the payment receipt for future reference.

 

Step 3: Merit Declaration

  • The state merit list will be published on the official website.
  • Selections and inter-se merit will be based solely on the NEET PG 2025 rank.

Step 4: Choice Filling

  • Visit https://dmetodisha.gov.in.
  • Click on “Choice Filling”.
  • Log in with your NEET PG roll number and password.
  • Fill and save your choices multiple times, but final submission and locking are mandatory.
  • No further changes will be permitted after the deadline.

 

Step 5: Seat Allotment

  • Log in to the portal to view seat allotment status.

  • If you accept the seat:

    • Download the allotment letter.
    • You are advised to join the allotted college within the stipulated date.
    • Those who do not join or resign will forfeit the security deposit.
  • If upgrading to a better seat, you may participate in further rounds, but previous allotments may be automatically upgraded.

  • Candidates with disabilities must appear before a Medical Board scheduled on the portal.

  • Allotments are made based on merit and reservation policies, if applicable.

  • Candidates failing to produce original documents or providing falsified information will be disqualified, and legal action may follow.

  • Identity verification at the time of admission is mandatory; mismatch can cancel candidature.

  • Failure to participate in counselling or to join the allotted seat will lead to forfeiture of the right to seat.

  • The exercised options are final; no re-allotment requests after choice submission.
