Mata Gujri Memorial Medical College & Lion´s Seva Kendra Hospital, Kishanganj was sponsored and established by a Trust of Sikh religious minority community under article 30(1) of the Constitution of India, with a view of giving efficient medical service to the people of the entire North-East Region-an underdeveloped, educationally, socially and economically backward area. The Sikh minority Community thus decided to serve this area through a Medical College and a well equipped Hospital in the State of Bihar.

The College has 6 fully air-conditioned lecture theatres, seating capacity of 200 each. A new lecture theatre block has been added to the existing infrastructure, which has 6 lecture theatres with a seating capacity of 200 each All the lecture theatres are equipped with ultra-modern audio-visual teaching aids like LCD projectors, etc. An excellent, resourceful, fully air conditioned and digitalized library with a built up area of 16,00 sq. meter with a seating capacity of 500 in five reading halls and two computer labs.State-of-the-art air-conditioned cafeterias with modern catering facilities are available for staff and students inside the college campus. No preservatives and colours are used in cooking.
M.G.M.M.C. provides good quality accommodation for its students. Separate hostel accommodation is available for boys and girls within the campus, with round-the-clock armed security and CCTV Camera . Rooms are offered on a twin-sharing basis. They are big and airy with writing tables and comfortable beds.
