Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Navi Mumbai came into existence through GR dated 27/09/2024 PGIMS is functioning with its clinical units in General hospital Vashi and Maasaheb Meenatai Thakeray Hospital Nerul.

General Hospital Vashi and Maasaheb Meenatai Thakeray Hospital, Nerul are are the largest municipal hospitals located in Navi Mumbai catering to Navi Mumbai as well as surrounding areas of Thane district as well as Raigad district. General Hospital, Vashi has been functional for more than 28 years and Maasaheb Meenatai Thakeray Hospital,Nerul has been functioning for more than 10 years in the service of the patients. The hospitals have been rendering their quality care to all the needy and poor people as well as very critical patients from all the broad clinical categories over the past years. Presently PGIMS, Navi Mumbai is intending to start Post Graduate Courses in streams of General Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology , Paediatrics and Orthopedics . Next Year PGIMS intends to start Post Graduate course in other clinical and para- clinical subjects.
