The District Hospital, Rajamahendravaram under control of APVVP has been upgraded to a Teaching Hospital since 01.06.2022 with 500 sanctioned beds as per the AP State Government after transition from the erstwhile District Hospital Rajamahendravaram which was established in 1864 with 12 beds under the Municipality and was provincialised in 1928 and upgraded to 250 beds by 2022.
The hospital is located opposite to Central Prison and very nearer to National Highway in an area of 20.07 acres with all the facilities to cater the population in and around the Rajahmundry Town, situated near to national high way and providing treatment to the patients who are coming for their aliments from neighbouring districts like Amalapuram, Rampachodavaram & Peddapuram.
