Career Institute of Medical Sciences & Hospital, Lucknow was established in 2011 with the approval of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India. This Institution is running MBBS course affiliated to Dr. Rammanohar Lohia Avadh University Ayodhya Uttar Pradesh and recognised by Medical Council of India for admitting 100 students every year. This Institute is also permitted to admit students for MD/MS courses in 18 (Eighteen) subjects with 54 P. G. seats consisting Department of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obst. & Gynae, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Respiratory Medicine, Psychiatry and Radio-Diagnosis.
The Institute has a 24X7 running hospital of more than 600 beds with most modern facilities for patient care, teaching, training and research.
Hospital facilities of the Medical College and Hospital provide modern health care including critical care and emergency services to the population at large.
A casualty section and an intensive care unit with various Sub-Specialities like ICCU, SICU, MICU, RICU, NICU, PICU, Intensive Care in Gynaecology and Obstetrics, and Burn treatment is also available in the hospital. Department of General Surgery provides facilities for Endoscopic Studies and Surgeries. Department of Medicine facilitates Echocardiography and TMT. Department of Psychiatry facilitates EEG
The hospital is also equipped with facilities for Pediatric Surgery, Urology, Cardiology,G. I. Surgery, Reconstructive Surgery, Joint Replacement Surgery, Cancer detection, Sterility Clinic, Pain Clinic, Pediatric Counselling and Pediatric Rehabilitation. Department of Radio-Diagnosis provides Fluoroscopy and facilities for Ultrasound and Color Doppler Studies, Digital X-Rays with an image intensifier, CT scan, MRI and Mammography.
The hospital has well equipped eleven modern operation theatres for General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT and Obstetrics & Gynecology besides one septic O.T. and one for emergency services. There are three minor O.T.s in Surgery O.P.D., Obst. & Gynae O.P.D. and one in Emergency. Central Laboratory services are available for Clinical Pathology Clinical Haematology, Histopathology, Serology, Immunology, Cytology, Bacteriology, Clinical Biochemistry and Microbiology investigations. The Institute has a well equipped modern 24X7 Blood Bank with Component Separator and apheresis facilities (Apheresis for SDP).
Five Gallery type Lecture theatres, well furnished Auditorium and Demonstration/Seminar rooms in each O.P.D., each Department and with wards well equipped with modern audio visual aids including e-classes. In addition, simulators are provided for computerized animal experimental exercises in Pharmacology and Physiology so as to save animal life. Workshops / Symposia / Seminars / Guest Lectures and conferences are organized on important and current issues from time to time by Medical Education Unit of the College.
Integrated teaching and research activities are carried out by all the Departments in College and Hospital in accordance with the MCI regulations. A well equipped Central Research Laboratory is functional with the ongoing Research Projects from different specility
